Okay no big surprise, but I've totally given up with MSpaint. We are moral enemies now. I might just hook up my old lappy and give it another go but as far as the Windows 7 version of Paint and I go we are totally dunzo. What this all means for my dolling um career (lol idk what else to call it) I dont know. I dont what to say I'll never doll again but I'll be on pause until I find a program I dont hate.

And this dolling pause doesnt mean I'm ditching dA. I've decided 2012 will be the year of the pencil and I'm going to try my hardest to get back into drawing. In the past couple months I've been amassing a huge reference folder and now I'm ready to sketch until my hand falls off. I might even pick up painting again if I can find a place nearby to get good watercolor paper (woo is my now carless life).

In other news, the Wife and I just finished watching Death Note. Yes I know we're like 2 years behind lol. If you havent gotten around to watching it, DO IT! DO IT NOW! Best of all the guy who does Light's voice in the dub also did Quatre's! Its like a GW reunion with Zechs, Dorothy/Cathy, and Relena's voice actors there too.

And now that we're done with Death Note, we've started on Game of Thrones which is also pretty amazing. I'm totally going to peer pressure everyone into watching it if its the last thing I do. Okay maybe not because there's a lot of blood, guts and nudity and some people are delicate. But if it makes you fell better its way less awkward to watch with my mother in law than the time we watched the episode of Wilfred where Elijah Wood's character trades sexual favors with the mom from Malcolm in the Middle. Worst episode ever to introduce her to that show.

Still alive I swear but I've been busy as a bzzzzzz bee. And totally obsessed with my beautiful sewing machine who is still nameless (I didnt name Germaine, my last sewing machine, for a good ten years so I have time, I'll take suggestions though).

Anyway moving on.

This is the first time in AGES where I haven't had my Halloween costume planned out ahead of time and we're nearing crunch time. I can't decide!

These are my options:

"Star Spangled Man" USO Chorus Girl -Captain America

Princess Bubblegum is a super easy costume and I'd get to wear a sweet pink wig BUT the USO costume is sooooooooooooo cute! Could this be anymore adorable? www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm0kdA…

The downside is how complicated. I'm dreading drafting that pattern (those pleats! that collar!) but its a combo of all my favorite things aka short high waisted pleated skirts. AND its got a petticoat (totally crying because my magenta knee length petticoat is still in CA)

Plus the Wife wants (despite the 99% chance he'll be working) to go as Finn.

My husband just bought me the Singer Perfect Finish LCD Sewing Machine & Serger set from Woot.com today as a super early birthday/Christmas present (oh the pitfalls of a December birthday). I AM SO STOKED. I had to leave the sewing machine I got for my 11th (12th? Might have even been 10th for all I remember) birthday behind when I moved to the Land o Lakes but now I have a sewing machine AND a serger! MY DREAM!



So happy I could die!
